Yesterday afternoon Paul and I arrived back home after 8 days away. We left last week to go to Versailles, so I could teach at the Paper and Co Show. What a wonderful, amazing experience! It was our first time in France, and the beauty, history, art, and architecture were nearly overwhelming at times.
I taught two classes at the show, one on hand lettering and one on watercolour techniques. The girls were so friendly, and I hope that they had as much fun as I did. :) It certainly was a learning experience for me -- I took my first class the same morning I taught my first class -- but it was so wonderful to see students come to my classes and discover something new, or see a new side of something they already knew. I love watercolour, hand lettering, and scrapbooking so much, it is just so awesome to be able to share it with other women who are just as passionate about it as I.
The show was run by a seemingly tireless team of volunteers headed by Celine Hidalgo, and I have to say, I was impressed by their energy! My helpers Stephanie, Victoria, Lydia, Charlotte, Juliette another Stephanie, another Lidia, made my classes and the weekend run so smoothly and pleasantly. Many thanks to each of you for your efforts, help, and translation! (And I apologize if I have accidentally missed anyone here who I should have mentioned!)
I also had the chance to take a travel mini album class with Margie Romney-Aslett, which was totally fantastic! She is such a great teacher and brings to much energy to her classes, her love for what she does truly shines through. If you ever have a chance to take one of her classes, make sure you do! She is inspiring! :)
